White House Honors
Awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award (Gold), signed at the White House for over 550 hours of service to the nation.
Born of the Source
Trained at the Korea Hapkido Headquarters Dojang, the birthplace of the art, under its founding grand masters.
Master of Masters
Certified 8th Dan in Hapkido. Decorated by the U.S. Army's 728th Military Police Battalion for training American and Korean soldiers in Korea.
World Champion
Gold at the 10th Wushu World Cup in Milan, Italy. That same year he was appointed Commissioner of Martial Arts Science in the United States.
Business of the Year
The City of Santa Clara names the academy District 2 Business of the Year, recognising it as a pillar of the community.

Grand Master Jong Yeon Hwang began at the Korea Hapkido Headquarters Dojang in 1971, training in the birthplace of the art. He went on to train American and Korean soldiers for the U.S. Army, win World Cup gold in Milan, and receive the President's Volunteer Service Award from the White House.
Today that same standard of discipline, respect and mastery is taught personally to every KIMOO student in Santa Clara.
